New Green Power announce clean energy agreement in Taiwan

New Green Power (NGP) today announced the signing of a landmark Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) to provide new clean power to the Taiwan electricity grid and decarbonize Google’s supply chain. The deal, enabled by Google’s capital investment, represents a significant milestone in clean energy partnerships, driving innovation in how companies can collaborate to decarbonize supply chains.

This CPPA, supplying approximately 77 GWh of renewable energy annually, is the first to be executed under NGP’s framework agreement with Google signed in 2024. This project contributes to accelerate Taiwan’s overall energy transition goals, where as of the end of 2025, renewable energy generation in Taiwan accounted for 13% of total power generation (Bureau of Energy, Ministry of Economic Affairs).

"This transaction reflects the collaborative spirit needed to accelerate the energy transition," said Gavin Tan, CEO of NGP. "This CPPA sets a new standard for how companies can work together to drive decarbonization across value chains."

The project also contributes toward NGP’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) goals and performance metrics, including:
● An estimated [44,400 tonnes CO₂] reduction in carbon emissions annually
● The creation of approximately [360] jobs during construction and operations
● Powering the equivalent of [18,000] households annually with clean energy
