Google buys stake in Taiwan solar power firm NGP owned by BlackRock
BlackRock Climate Infrastructure, has established a partnership with Google. The partnership includes capital investment from Google into BlackRock's portfolio company New Green Power .

BlackRock to acquire 100% of Taiwanese New Green Power.
BlackRock Real Assets has entered into an agreement that will increase its stake in Taiwanese solar developer New Green Power (NGP) to 100%.
Taiwan’s Tainan [fishery and electricity symbiosis] site is expected to finish by the end of this year. New Green Power CEO Andy Tang states “the key to success is communication”.
NGP has actively faced challenges at multiple solar panel sites in their eight years of establishment. The Company has accumulated experience in the project construction containing rooftop type, ground type, or floating type, as well as their most recent projects with fishery and electricity symbiosis involved. NGP already finished Taiwan’s first site of this type in 2018, and plan to finish construction on another site in Tainan, making their total capacity reach 123 MW.
2020: BlackRock Real Assets contributes to NGP’s breakthrough in the solar panel industry at 8% record high market share
Despite 2020’s pandemic, NGP exhibits huge breakthroughsand growth, with a single year ofgrid capacity reaching 100 MW, and a new market share highof 8%.Last September, international investor BlackRock Real Assets became strategic partners with New Green Power and is acknowledged as the company’s first huge foreign equity investor.
